Folklore Ensemble Karpaty 迦巴帝民俗歌舞團

Young dancers, musicians, and male vocalists combine regional Slovak dances, songs, and distinctive folk instruments in an energetic, richly layered performance.

Folklore Ensemble KARPATY was founded in 1998, taking its name from the Carpathian Mountains that stretch across Central and Eastern Europe. Its members are mainly young performers, including university and secondary-school students from Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. The ensemble includes dance, a folk orchestra, and a male vocal group. Since its founding, it has taken part in dozens of international folklore festivals and cultural exchanges in more than twenty countries, accumulating extensive overseas performance experience and introducing international audiences to Slovakia’s diverse traditions through dance, music, and singing at a near-professional level.
