With a rich 30-year history, YiTzy Folk Dance Theatre proudly calls Tainan—Taiwan’s historic cultural capital—home. Dedicated to honoring tradition while embracing contemporary artistry, the company brings Taiwan’s vibrant festival traditions, folk beliefs, and stories of everyday life to the international stage.

Drawing inspiration from deep-rooted folk traditions and Taiwan’s vibrant temple culture, YiTzy has developed a distinctive dance style that captures the spirit of the island. By blending traditional movement with elements of contemporary dance, its performances transform Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage into engaging theatrical experiences.

Beyond the stage, YiTzy is passionate about community engagement and nurturing young dancers, ensuring that Taiwan’s living culture continues to be celebrated, shared, and passed on across generations and around the world.
