Founded in 2013 and located in Tainan’s Chishanbao area, the Chishan Performing Arts Studio operates on the core philosophy of "Rooted in Chishan, uniting through dance; based in Taiwan, reaching out to the world." The troupe has long been dedicated to dance education, excelling at reimagining and choreographing Taiwanese traditional folk formations (Yizhen), dance, and diabolo arts. Through vivid visual language and rich stage expression, the ensemble powerfully showcases the vitality of Taiwanese culture.
In recent years, the studio has actively participated in domestic and international arts festivals as well as cultural exchange performances. With a touring footprint that extends across Europe, it consistently brings local Taiwanese stories to the global stage. Chishan firmly believes that while traditions must be preserved, they must also engage in a dialogue with the contemporary era through creativity. This approach infinitely expands the breadth and height of the arts, nurturing a new generation of cultural confidence and stage charisma unique to Taiwan.
