Established in 1996, Di Di Dance Theater is an important stronghold of the modern dance community in Southern Taiwan. It combines young dance elites in the South to present creations that attempt to stir up a glittering, poetic beauty in the midst of adversity. It also calls out to Northern Taiwan, “A group of dancers in the South are emerging from an obscure corner of the country.”

Not only is Di Di Dance Theater a promoter of modern dance in Southern Taiwan, but it is also dedicated to touching people’s hearts with beauty. With the persistence of its ideals, Di Di has continued to create and explore various forms of expression, and through imaginative, figurative, and abstract works that convey a sense of the countryside or modernity, to engage in a dialogue and connection with the audience. They sincerely look forward to seeing the audience immersed in their carefully crafted stage works as if they were flying on the wind, and feeling the emotions and stories that each dance performance brings.
