Le Yun Dance Group, founded by Director Tseng Hui-Chen in 2005, is committed to both innovation and tradition, and is deeply engaged in the local arts and culture of Nanying (i.e. Tainan). The group focuses on exploring local culture and nurturing local talents in pursuit of the excellence of dance art.

The group is seeking for a breakthrough in the framework of traditional dance, making it more flexible and diversified, creating a new style by fusing folk dance with contemporary elements, skillfully combining the essence of Eastern and Western cultures, and demonstrating “the power of Western dance and the beauty of Eastern dance”. With the creative attitude of “working happily”, the group spares no effort in promoting and performing many dances that contain the long-forgotten spirit of Taiwan, and in awakening the local people’s recognition of their own culture and life.

Le Yun’s representative works over the years include The Beauty of Beauties, The Legend of Beehive Fireworks City, The Legend of Beehive Fireworks City 2, Le Nian Nian (Happy Every Year), Wang Yuejin, etc. The group has also actively toured internationally, performing in international festivals in the United States, Germany, Korea, and Denmark to promote the beauty of Taiwanese culture.
