Since its inception in 2003, Folk Dance Ensemble Horo has been leading the way in the innovation of music and dance forms, linking contemporary art with the rich traditions of Bulgarian folklore. Horo’s performances go beyond the traditional stage performance format to offer a refreshingly new and innovative approach to choreography with a rich and diverse repertoire, and each performance is filled with unique rhythms and choreographic combinations that leave the audience with a lasting impression of the dance images. The choreography of Folk Dance Ensemble Horo showcases selected dances from specific ethnic regions of Bulgaria, allowing the audience to experience the true charm of these dance forms.

Over the years, Folk Dance Ensemble Horo has won numerous awards and has been invited to participate in international celebrations such as the Bulgarian National Day, the International Folklore Festival “Mezokovesd” in Hungary, the International Folk Festival of Rimini, Italy, and the 1st AIU International Youth Festival of Chandigarh University, India.
