From East, South, and Southeast Asia to Central Europe, the Beimen session brings together four distinctive cultural traditions in a colorful celebration of international folk arts. The Japanese group presents the unique character of its traditional performance, while Sri Lankan performers showcase the island nation’s rich cultural heritage through vivid movement and rhythm. The Singaporean group reflects a multicultural artistic identity through graceful dance, and the Polish ensemble brings the lively music, colorful costumes, and spirited movement of Central European folk traditions. Through a succession of contrasting performances, audiences in Beimen are invited to experience the beauty of music, dance, and heritage from across Asia and Europe.
