From the vibrant rhythms of Southeast Asia to the distinctive folk traditions of Central and Eastern Europe, this program brings together four contrasting cultural expressions. The Philippines’ Salingoy Bicolandia Dance Company fills the stage with energetic movement and the colorful spirit of island culture, while the Czech and Romanian groups present the rich character of European folk traditions through music, dance, and traditional costumes. The Malaysian group adds another dimension with performances reflecting the country’s multicultural heritage. Through a succession of rhythms, costumes, and dance traditions, the evening invites audiences at the Tainan Cultural Center on a cultural journey across Asia and Europe.
